The University of Debrecen invites all PhD students to its annual Evolution & Biodiversity Conference: a space to learn, connect, and share ideas. The event brings together young researchers with inspiring speakers and mentors from around the world. General Programme
The conference programme is currently under development and will be updated soon.
The meeting will begin on the morning of January 8, with the scientific programme running until the afternoon of January 10. On January 11, participants will have the opportunity to join an excursion to Hortobágy National Park. Further details about the excursion will be announced shortly.

How to reach the venue
From Debrecen International Airport to the Main Railway Station
Debrecen International Airport is located close to the city. From the airport, take bus Airport 1 to Nagyállomás (Main Railway Station).
From Budapest International Airport to the Main Railway Station in Debrecen
Please note that this trip typically takes approximately 3 hours.
From the Budapest Airport, take bus 200E to Ferihegy Railway Station (Ferihegy Vasútállomás; approx. 12-minute ride). Tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the airport or online. Please make sure to buy a standard ticket (not the special 100E airport ticket) and validate it on the bus.
From Ferihegy Railway Station, trains to Debrecen are available. Tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the station or online. Please note that fast trains require an additional seat reservation or supplement fee.
From the Main Railway Station in Debrecen (Nagyállomás) to the venue (DAB)
From the main railway station in Debrecen (Nagyállomás), continue by tram line 2 and get off at the stop 'DAB székház. villamos', located just in front of the venue. Tickets for public transport can be purchased at vending machines, via the local transport website, or directly on board, depending on the service.
